Nyko Power Pak
What the Nyko Power Pak lacks in flair, it makes up for in functionality. The Nyko Power Pak clamps around the body of your Nintendo Switch and includes open ports to prevent interference with exhaust vents and slots. In addition, the Power Pak is relatively slim, meaning that it won’t add too much bulk to the Switch. The Nyko Power Pak features an integrated 5000mAh battery, effectively doubling the Nintendo Switch’s battery life. Furthermore, the external battery pack can be rapidly recharged via Type-C USB. The back of the Nyko Power Pak features a kickstand, allowing for easy co-op play without having to remove the battery pack. Additionally, the case features LED indicator lights that can tell you the charge level of the external battery.
HyperX ChargePlay Clutch
The HyperX ChargePlay Clutch is similar in design to the Nyko Power Pak; however, it features a slightly larger battery rated at 6,000mAh. HyperX estimates this will give players an extra five hours of play time; however, individual mileage may vary. One downside to the HyperX is that it adds considerable bulk to your Nintendo Switch, especially when compared to the Nyko Power Pak. That being said, the ChargePlay Clutch features detachable rubberized Joy-Con grips. Additionally, when the Joy-Con grips are detached, the ChargePlay Clutch can be converted into a charging stand.
ZeroLemon SwitchPower
How does more than 10 additional hours of playtime sound? We promise, it’s not a pipedream. The ZeroLemon SwitchPower delivers an incredible amount of on-screen time with a massive 10,000mAh battery. The ZeroLemon PowerSwitch employs a clamp design, similar to others on this list; however, it features a power button to turn charging on or off. This allows you to conserve your reserve battery when you don’t need it, making sure you get the most bang for your buck. In addition, the built-in kickstand can be adjusted to three different viewing angles. Furthermore, the battery pack has an integrated storage space to carry three extra games.
GuliKit Battery Master
External battery cases for the Switch are great, but wouldn’t it be better if you could carry one device and charge all of your gadgets? The GuliKit Battery Master aims to do just that. The GuliKit isn’t so much of a case as it is a harness that clips around the top and bottom of the Switch. This harness can then mount the included 10,000mAh battery to the back of your Switch. As a result, the GuliKit Battery Master is one of the least obtrusive options on this list. Aside from a little added weight, you’ll barely notice that the battery is even attached. What makes the GuliKit really stand out is the fact that the battery pack is detachable. This means that you can use the battery pack as a standard portable charger compatible with virtually anything that charges via USB.
GuliKit Battery Pack for Switch Lite
The GuliKit Battery Pack is specifically designed for the smaller Nintendo Switch Lite. It features an unobtrusive harness that clips on to the back of the console. With the harness installed, a removable battery pack can then be attached to the back of the console. The big difference here is that the battery only has a 5,000mAh capacity as opposed to 10,000mAh battery that is found in its bigger brother. That being said, the battery pack can be detached from your Switch Lite and used as a standard external charger for all of your other gadgets.
